New Harry Potter story by Rowling

The World Cup in Brazil has spread sport fever all over the world… and in other worlds. JK Rowling has been writing about the Quidditch World Cup to coincide with the Muggle football (or soccer, depending where you’re from) World Cup. The final article in this series will go up this Friday, covering the final in her fantasy World Cup ahead of the finale in Brazil on Sunday.

The exciting news is that the article to be published today (8th of July), is going to feature Harry Potter as a grown man (34-years-old, to be exact). This is the first new story featuring Harry and the gang as adults since the epilogue of The Deathly Hallows. The short piece is said to be approximately 1500 words from the perspective of Daily Prophet journalist Rita Skeeter.

While Rowling continues to deny any intentions to write further Harry Potter stories, it seems like she can’t quite leave him behind her after all.

Keep an eye out at Pottermore for the article later today.
